History of Rockin Lazy A Ranch:

I started raising Brahma cattle for my 4-H project as a 6th grader. I enjoyed the cattle but after I learned more about the bucking stock industry I decided to change my direction slightly with my Brahma cattle. So in 8th grade I started raising bucking stock. Which then turned into a FFA project in High School that would go on to win several awards. I still have a couple of my Brahma cows but have grown with more cattle that are registered with the ABBI. This and adding a couple ABBI registered Bulls have me in the direction I want to continue. I am currently in a rebuilding state with my bucking stock as well as commercial cattle herd.
Along with my cattle herds I raise border collies and quarter horses. My original border collie Zip comes from my folk's ranch in Kansas. She is of there bloodlines that have proven to win herding trails as well as agility contests. I have one pup kept out of Zip who shows great promise and will hopefully raise great working dogs in the future. As for my quarter horses I like the Driftwood and Peppy San Badger lines. I outreach a little with some others as well.
My Supervised Agricultural Experience for FFA while in High School won District two years in a row along with state once. I was also the Chapter Star Farmer and the North East District Star farmer in Kansas. My ranch also went to National FFA convention and won a 1000 dollar Levi Strauss grant. It had also won the National award for Entrepreneurship. After High School I attended Garden City Community College in Kansas with a Football Scholarship I also rode bulls for the school. At Garden City I graduated with an Associates degree in Science along with classes for farm and ranch management. I do enjoy graphic design and as you will see I have designed this web site.
